The Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy hosts three of our four annual fundraisers around the country:  Dallas & Houston, Texas; and Bethesda, Maryland. Our fundraiser in  Naples, Florida is hosted by the Volunteer USA Foundation.  These wonderfully entertaining evenings are hosted by the Bush family and feature readings by best-selling authors.  Please see the information below on each event and join us in support of literacy!

 Florida: The 2008 Florida Celebration of Reading was held on Friday, February 15, 2008 at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa in Bonita Springs, Florida.  Authors for the event included Barbara Bush, George H.W. Bush, Mary Matalin, Greg Mortenson, Sharon Robinson, Art Smith, Dr. Eric J. Smith, and Mr T. Willard.

Dallas: The sixth annual Dallas Celebration of Reading was held at the Meyerson Symphony Center on November 12, 2007. Authors for the evening included Sandra Brown, Jenna Bush, Chris Gardner, Jodi Picoult and Jeanette Walls.

The seventh annual Dallas Celebration of Reading will be held Monday, November 17,2008.
